The backstory
When Erin first reached out to Pup Scouts, Red was struggling with leash reactivity. Walks had become a challenge. He would bark, pull, and in high-stress situations, redirect his frustration through aggression. It was emotionally draining and physically exhausting to manage. Erin was looking for a structured solution that would address Red’s behavioral challenges and help him feel more at ease in the world.
They were initially drawn to Pup Scouts for help reaching training goals, especially around leash behavior. But what they didn’t expect was how much they and Red would come to value the community and connection that came with pack walks. Red wasn’t just learning to walk better—he was building a social life.
The Pup Scout
Difference

Over the past six months, everything transformed. Red is now a model leash-walker. He hasn’t had a single redirect incident in half a year, and barking or pulling are rare. He walks calmly, confidently, and clearly enjoys his time out with the pack. The walks have become something Erin can feel good about—both for Red’s physical health and emotional fulfillment.
But perhaps the biggest surprise came from Pup Scouts Mobile Grooming. At first, Erin was just curious to try it. Now, she can’t imagine life without it. Groomer Kaitlyn has built such trust with Red that he runs to greet her and tries to follow her out the door. He’s not only comfortable—he’s thriving. His paw health has improved, his skin and coat are carefully monitored, and Erin has learned so much from Kaitlyn’s thoughtful care. It feels less like a grooming appointment and more like a wellness check.
“Thank goodness we decided to give mobile grooming a try! Kaitlyn has changed Red's life. He no longer resists entering the doors of the groomer. In fact, he wants to run out the door with Kaitlyn when she comes!”
